Not in force in Areopoli right nowTuesday, 13 October 2026 at 12:05 · Europe/Athens

  • Not in force Every vehicle on the three regulated sections, except the classes the act exempts by name — ΑΜΕΑ vehicles, ambulances, security-forces vehicles, fire appliances, refuse lorries and other municipal vehicles, public-utility vehicles (ΔΕΗ-ΟΤΕ), bicycles, and any movement required to deal with an emergency.
  • Not in force The same vehicles and the same three sections, on Sundays, when the act closes them for the whole day rather than for the afternoon and night: «Κυριακές και αργίες όλο το 24ωρο». 🚨 The «αργίες» — public holidays — cannot be encoded, because this project holds no Greek public-holiday calendar; see the holiday note on this page.

Starts Tuesday, 13 October 2026 at 15:00 local time.

🚨 THIS IS THE ONE GAP IN THIS RECORD THAT UNDER-WARNS, AND IT UNDER-WARNS ON THE BUSIEST DAYS OF THE GREEK YEAR. The act closes the sections for the full twenty-four hours on «Κυριακές και αργίες» — Sundays and public holidays. Sunday the timetable can see. The αργίες it cannot: this project holds no official, dated Greek public-holiday calendar, and will not compute one. So on a public holiday falling Monday to Saturday inside the season the verdict above reports the afternoon window when the act in fact closes the whole day. 15 August, the Dormition, is the clearest case — it is the peak of the Greek summer, it falls inside the season every year, and in 2026 it fell on a Saturday. Read the Sunday line on any Greek public holiday.

🚨 THIS TIMETABLE COVERS ABOUT 465 METRES OF ΑΡΕΌΠΟΛΗ AND NOTHING ELSE. The act regulates three connected sections — 85 m, 85 m plus 65 m, and 230 m — of stone-paved municipal street and of the road ringing πλατεία Αθανάτων. Every other street in the town, including the επαρχιακή οδός that passes through it, is open at every hour. A verdict of «in force» here is a verdict about a few hundred metres of old centre on a summer afternoon.

The weekday window crosses midnight and is encoded that way, 15:00 to 04:00. The small hours belong to the previous afternoon's closure.

⚠️ The last afternoon of the season runs into 1 November. A closure beginning at 15:00 on 31 October runs to 04:00 on 1 November, and November is excepted here as a whole month — so a four-hour under-warning falls on exactly one morning of the year. It is stated rather than papered over.

🚨 THE SUNDAY RULE AND THE WEEKDAY RULE ARE BOTH PUBLISHED BECAUSE THE ACT WRITES BOTH. Sunday is closed for the whole twenty-four hours; the afternoon window is also carried on Sunday so that the closure continues to 04:00 on Monday, which is what the general clause provides for every other day.

🚨 This timetable cannot tell you whether the rule has commenced on any given stretch. Condition 5 makes the measures effective from the placing of the signs, and condition 6 leaves that placing to the municipality «σύμφωνα με τις ισχύουσες τεχνικές προδιαγραφές». No publisher has dated it. What the act does record is that the scheme was already in operation in 2019, and had been for about ten years.

⚠️ A police officer at the junction outranks the sign in either direction. Condition 5 says so in as many words.

🔑 The Γ section is not an ordinary street when the ban is off. «Κατά τις ώρες μη λειτουργίας της παραπάνω απαγόρευσης διέλευσης των οχημάτων στο Γ΄ Τμήμα λόγω στενότητας, επιβάλλεται ήπια κυκλοφορία των οχημάτων» — outside the closed hours, calmed traffic is compulsory on the 230-metre section because it is narrow. That is a rule this timetable cannot express: it applies precisely when the verdict above says «not in force».

🔑 And one road changes direction for the season rather than closing. The part of the road around πλατεία Αθανάτων that is NOT in the scheme «γίνεται κατά την περίοδο της ρύθμισης δρόμος διπλής κατεύθυνσης» — becomes two-way while the regulation is running. A driver who knows the town in winter does not know it in August.

Operating times only, read from the source below. It does not check your vehicle.

What applies

Αρεόπολη is the stone-built market town of the Mani peninsula, in Λακωνία at the southern end of the Peloponnese, and on summer afternoons three connected stretches of its old centre stop being roads. From 1 March to 31 October, between three in the afternoon and four the next morning, vehicles may not use the stone-paved municipal street sections or the part of the road that rings πλατεία Αθανάτων.

On Sundays and public holidays the ban runs the whole twenty-four hours. The measure is decision 37/2018 of the municipal council of Δήμος Ανατολικής Μάνης, approved by the Συντονιστής of the Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση Πελοποννήσου, Δυτικής Ελλάδας και Ιονίου at Πάτρα on 15 March 2019 and gazetted a week later. 🔑 THIS IS THE FIRST GREEK ACT IN THIS CORPUS THAT PUBLISHES ITS PLAN.

Twelve earlier Greek records asked the same question — is the drawing the act approves actually in the gazette? — and all twelve ended in «not published». This issue is 14 645 845 bytes for twelve pages, and six of those pages are full-sheet rasters: plan Σ3 «Οριζοντιογραφία εναλλακτικής διαδρομής» at 1:1.000, plan Σ5 «Κυκλοφοριακή ρύθμιση» at 1:500 — the one the operative part names — and plan Σ6 at 1:20.

They are legible. They carry a labelled national-grid tick mesh, street names the act itself never writes, and a legend. 🔑 AND Σ6 IS SOMETHING NO OTHER RECORD IN THIS CORPUS HAS: A DIMENSIONED DRAWING OF THE SIGN THE DRIVER WILL ACTUALLY MEET.

It is an engineering elevation of the information board, 2 394 mm by 2 670 mm, «ΕΜΒΑΔΟ: 6.39m²», with every letter height figured — and the text on its face is the timetable in the act's own terms: «ΠΕΡΙΟΔΙΚΗ ΠΕΖΟΔΡΟΜΗΣΗ ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΥΣ ΜΗΝΕΣ 1/3 - 31/10 ΩΡΕΣ: 15:00 4:00» and, below it, «ΚΥΡΙΑΚΗ ΚΑΙ ΑΡΓΙΕΣ ΟΛΟ ΤΟ 24ΩΡΟ». ⚠️ AND YET THE BOUNDARY IS STILL NOT PUBLISHED, FOR A REASON THE DRAWINGS PRINT ON THEMSELVES.

In the bottom-left corner of both site plans their own producer has printed «Για τεχνικούς λόγους στο σχεδιάγραμμα, από το ηλεκτρονικό αρχείο, έγινε σμίκρυνση κατά ποσοστό» — for technical reasons the drawing was reduced by a percentage — and the percentage is left blank.

A drawing whose author will not say what scale it is now at is not a measuring instrument, and this project does not trace a polygon off a raster in any case. 🚨 THE EXTENT IS THEREFORE IN METRES AND CAFÉ NAMES, WHICH IS A SHAPE THIS CORPUS HAS NOT SEEN BEFORE.

The act gives three sections and their lengths — 85 m, 85 m plus 65 m, and 230 m, about 465 m in all — and fixes their ends by naming four businesses: the Ξιφαράς, Ψωίνου and Γούδη cafés and the shop «Μαύρα Μεσάνυχτα». Not one street name, and not one coordinate. 🔑 IT ALSO EXEMPTS MORE CLASSES THAN ANY OTHER GREEK ACT HERE, AND BICYCLES ARE AMONG THEM.

Εθνικό Τυπογραφείο (National Printing House) — Εφημερίδα της Κυβερνήσεως, ΦΕΚ Β’ 998/22.03.2019, the only item of the issue: αριθμ. 57967 of the Συντονιστής of the Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση Πελοποννήσου, Δυτικής Ελλάδας και Ιονίου, approving decision 37/2018 of the Δημοτικό Συμβούλιο of Δήμος Ανατολικής Μάνης, signed «Με εντολή Συντονιστή» at Πάτρα on 15 March 2019; the operative part on page 3 and plans Σ3, Σ5 and Σ6 on pages 5 to 11

Daily charge

Nothing is charged and there is nothing to buy. The act is a κυκλοφοριακή ρύθμιση — a traffic regulation approved under the Greek Highway Code — and it creates no permit, no day ticket, no residents' scheme and no application. The only money mentioned anywhere in the twelve pages is the National Printing House's own price list for a copy of the gazette, on the back cover.

When it operates

Three in the afternoon until four the next morning, from 1 March to 31 October — and the whole twenty-four hours on Sundays and public holidays. The act writes it in one clause: «από 01/03 έως 31/10 και ώρες από 15:00 έως 04:00-Κυριακές και αργίες όλο το 24ωρο». The weekday window crosses midnight and is encoded here as 15:00 to 04:00. 🔑 THE SIGN ON THE GROUND SAYS THE SAME THING, AND THE GAZETTE PUBLISHES THE SIGN.

Plan Σ6 on page 11 is a 1:20 dimensioned elevation of the information board, and its face reads «ΠΕΡΙΟΔΙΚΗ ΠΕΖΟΔΡΟΜΗΣΗ ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΥΣ ΜΗΝΕΣ 1/3 - 31/10 ΩΡΕΣ: 15:00 4:00» with «ΚΥΡΙΑΚΗ ΚΑΙ ΑΡΓΙΕΣ ΟΛΟ ΤΟ 24ΩΡΟ» beneath.

A driver who reads the board and a driver who reads the gazette get the same timetable, which is rarer in this corpus than it should be. ⚠️ THE ANNUAL RETURN IS A READING, NOT A QUOTATION, AND THAT HAS TO BE SAID. The act writes «από 01/03 έως 31/10» and never writes «κάθε έτους» — the phrase its Φιλιάτες and Κίσσαμος siblings do write.

What supports the reading is the act's own vocabulary and the board: the title calls the scheme a «περιοδική πεζοδρόμηση», recital 54 approves a «Κανονισμός λειτουργίας του περιοδικού πεζόδρομου», recital 24 cites the ministry's guidance «σχετικά με τις περιοδικές πεζοδρομήσεις», and Σ6 dimensions a permanent board that carries a month range with no year on it. A board with no year is not a board for one season.

But the words «each year» are not in the act, and this record does not put them in its mouth. ⚠️ Commencement is not given.

Condition 5 applies the measures «από την τοποθέτηση των οικείων πινακίδων σήμανσης, εκτός αν κατά το χρόνο ισχύος των μέτρων αυτών η κυκλοφορία ρυθμίζεται από στελέχη της αρμόδιας Αστυνομικής Αρχής» — from the placing of the signs, unless an officer is directing traffic — and no publisher has dated that placing.

What the act does say is that the scheme was already running when it was approved: recital 56 records that «τα μέτρα της κυκλοφοριακής ρύθμισης, έχουν εφαρμοστεί ήδη», and recital 50 is a letter from 45 local businesses thanking the council «για τη δεκάχρονη λειτουργία του πεζόδρομου» — for the pedestrian street's ten years of operation. So this 2019 act regularised something that had been happening since about 2008.

Area covered

Three connected sections of the old centre, about 465 metres in all, identified in the act by their lengths and by the cafés at their ends.

The operative part closes «τα τμήματα λιθοστρωμένου δημοτικού δρόμου και σε τμήμα της οδού που περιβάλλει την πλατεία Αθανάτων», and then sets them out one by one: «Α) από καφενείο Ξιφαρά μέχρι καφενείο Ψωίνου, μήκους 85 μ., Β) από καφενείο Ψωίνου μέχρι καφενείο Γούδη, μήκους 85 μ., και από καφενείο Γούδη μέχρι κατάστημα «Μαύρα Μεσάνυχτα» μήκους 65 μ., Γ) από καφενείο Γούδη μέχρι δημοτικό χώρο στάθμευσης, μήκους 230 μ.» 🚨 THAT IS A NEW SHAPE OF EXTENT IN THIS CORPUS: LENGTHS IN METRES, ENDPOINTS AS BUSINESSES.

Every other Greek act here either describes an area in words, or prints ΕΓΣΑ 87 survey points, or names a street. This one measures each section to the metre and then anchors the metres to four shopfronts — the Ξιφαράς, Ψωίνου and Γούδη cafés and the shop «Μαύρα Μεσάνυχτα» — plus the municipal car park. The lengths are exact and the endpoints are local knowledge. 🔑 THE ACT NAMES NO STREET; ITS OWN APPROVED PLANS DO.

Sheets of plan Σ5 print «ΟΔΟΣ ΚΑΠΕΤΑΝ ΜΑΤΑΠΑ», «ΠΛΑΤΕΙΑ ΑΘΑΝΑΤΩΝ», «ΠΛΑΤΕΙΑ 17ης ΜΑΡΤΙΟΥ 1821», «ΕΠΑΡΧΙΑΚΗ ΟΔΟΣ ΑΡΕΟΠΟΛΗΣ - ΓΕΡΟΛΙΜΕΝΑ» and the Μαυρομιχάλη street, together with the churches of Αγ. Νικόλαος, Αγ. Κυριακή, Αγ.

Πέτρος and Αγ. Αθανάσιος. 🔑 And two of those names are on the map: measured on OpenStreetMap on 2026-09-28, «Καπετάν Ματαπά» and «Μαυρομιχάλη» both exist within 300 m of this record's anchor, both mapped as residential streets surfaced in stone setts — which is what the act means by «λιθοστρωμένου δημοτικού δρόμου». 🚫 This record still does not say which OSM way is which of the act's three sections.

The act identifies them by café, the plan is a raster, and matching the two would be our inference rather than the authority's statement. 🚫 The act's own landmark is not on the map. «Πλατεία Αθανάτων» returns nothing at all within 2 km on OpenStreetMap — measured the same day — so the square the operative part rings cannot be found by name on a digital map even though the street it sits on can. ⚠️ No polygon is published here, and the reason is printed on the plans themselves.

See the boundary note on this page.

Why there is no map here
🔑 THE PLAN IS PUBLISHED, AND THAT IS THE FIRST TIME IN THIS CORPUS'S GREEK SET. Twelve earlier Greek records asked whether the drawing an act approves is in the gazette with it, and twelve times the answer was no. Here it is: the issue is 14 645 845 bytes for twelve pages, and pages 5 to 11 carry seven full-sheet JPEGs of 1961 × 2823 pixels each, handed off from the page as Form XObjects and confirmed as such by scripts/pdf-page-gap.mjs on 2026-09-28. Three of them carry title blocks: Σ3 «Οριζοντιογραφία εναλλακτικής διαδρομής», scale 1:1.000, dated 07/12/2018; Σ5 «Κυκλοφοριακή ρύθμιση», scale 1:500, dated 29.1.2019 — the sheet the operative part names as «το από 29/01/2019 ενημερωμένο σχέδιο Σ5» — and Σ6, scale 1:20, the dimensioned elevation of the information board. The other four are continuation sheets of the two site plans. All are signed by Βασίλειος Βερούτης, Μηχανολόγος Μηχανικός Π.Ε., and Σ5 carries a digital signature dated 2019.03.20. 🔑 THEY ARE ALSO USABLE AS DOCUMENTS. Σ5's legend names the sign («Πληροφοριακή πινακίδα απαγόρευσης εισόδου οχημάτων»), the regulated road limits, the roads a car can and cannot use «λόγω μικρού πλάτους», the alternative routes, the taxi rank, the disabled bay, and the existing and reversed directions of flow during the regulation. The sheets print street names the act never writes, and a tick mesh labelled in the national grid. 🚫 AND THEY STILL CANNOT BECOME A BOUNDARY, FOR A REASON THE DRAWINGS PRINT ON THEMSELVES. In the bottom-left corner of both site plans their own producer has boxed the sentence «Για τεχνικούς λόγους στο σχεδιάγραμμα, από το ηλεκτρονικό αρχείο, έγινε σμίκρυνση κατά ποσοστό» — for technical reasons the drawing was reduced by a percentage — and the percentage is left blank. A sheet that declares 1:500 in its title block and then says it has been shrunk by an unstated amount is not a measuring instrument. This is the same defect the corpus met on the Nisyros plan Χ.45, from a different engineer in a different prefecture, and it is apparently a house style rather than an accident. 🚫 THE DEEPER REASON IS THE STANDING ONE, AND IT WOULD APPLY EVEN IF THE PERCENTAGE HAD BEEN FILLED IN: nothing traced off a raster becomes geometry here. A polygon lifted from a scan is a line this project invented, and the boundary contract is answered by published vector data or not at all. So this record says the map was published and cannot be reused, rather than that none exists, and it names the sheets so a reader can look at them. 🚫 Borrowing the municipality relation instead would be wrong by three orders of magnitude: relation/2179049, «Δήμος Ανατολικής Μάνης», stitches to 622.123 km² over a bounding box 55.65 km north to south and 22.26 km east to west, and this measure is about 465 metres of one town's old centre. The city-level warning stands, and the extent is stated in the act's own metres.

The authority's own map: Εθνικό Τυπογραφείο — Εφημερίδα της Κυβερνήσεως, ΦΕΚ Β’ 998/22.03.2019, αριθμ…

Petrol standard

This scheme sets no emission threshold, and the absence is structural rather than unrecorded: it is a seasonal pedestrianisation under the Greek Highway Code, not a low-emission zone. The act contains no Euro class, no fuel type and no vehicle age.

A new car and a twenty-year-old one are treated identically — both are simply not allowed on the three sections during the closed hours, and both are allowed if they belong to one of the exempt classes.

Diesel standard

The same as for petrol, and for the same structural reason: the act contains no emission class of any kind, for any fuel. ⚠️ Worth stating separately for diesel, because a reader arriving from this corpus's Italian or German pages will expect a diesel-specific rung and there is none here. An electric car is inside this closure too; a bicycle is outside it, and that is the only vehicle-type distinction the act draws apart from the emergency and municipal classes.

Penalty if you do not comply
€350.00 €350, plus thirty days without the driving licence AND the vehicle's registration documents, plus a further forty days without the licence. The act prints no figure; every step below was located in ν. 5209/2025 on 2026-09-28 for this record rather than inherited from this corpus's other Greek pages. 🔑 AND THIS IS THE FIRST GREEK RECORD HERE WHERE BOTH ROUTES THROUGH THE CODE ARE OPEN AT ONCE, BECAUSE THE ACT SUPPLIES WHAT ITS SIBLINGS LEAVE OUT. The corpus's Αγιά page had to reason that a «πεζοδρόμηση» makes a «πεζόδρομος», because that act never used the noun. This one uses it: recital 54 approves «Ο Κανονισμός λειτουργίας του περιοδικού πεζόδρομου», the operative part's exemption sentence applies «τον κανονισμό λειτουργίας του περιοδικού πεζόδρομου», condition 9 names the same regulation again, and conditions 4 and the fire service's letters call the streets «πεζοδρομημένων οδών» and «το πεζοδρομημένο τμήμα των οδών της πόλης». So article 20 §4 reaches a driver here on the act's own vocabulary: it forbids a driver to circulate «σε πλατείες, πεζόδρομους, πεζοδρόμια, νησίδες ασφαλείας … εκτός από περιπτώσεις απολύτου ανάγκης ή όταν ειδικές ρυθμίσεις το επιτρέπουν». Article 20 §8 β) classifies that breach «στην κατηγορία Ε3-Β και στην κατηγορία Σ». Article 108 §5 γ) γα) prices Ε3-Α at «διοικητικό πρόστιμο τριακοσίων πενήντα (350) ευρώ»; γβ) adds, for Ε3-Β, «το διοικητικό μέτρο αφαίρεσης της άδειας οδήγησης και των στοιχείων κυκλοφορίας του οχήματος για τριάντα (30) ημέρες»; and §5 δ) adds for category Σ «επιπρόσθετα και το διοικητικό μέτρο αφαίρεσης της άδειας οδήγησης του οδηγού για σαράντα (40) ημέρες». 🔑 THE OTHER ROUTE IS THE PLATE, AND HERE THE GAZETTE PUBLISHES THE PLATE. Sheets of the approved plan Σ5 annotate the sign positions «Τύπου Ρ-55», along with Ρ-7, Ρ-40, Ρ-53 and others at the junctions. Article 7 §11 ζ) puts non-compliance with «τις πινακίδες Ρ-33, Ρ-54, Ρ-55, Ρ-56, Ρ-65, Ρ-66, Ρ-66α, Ρ-67, Ρ-67α, Ρ-76» in «την κατηγορία Ε1-Α και στην κατηγορία Σ», and article 108 §5 α) αα) prices Ε1-Α at «διοικητικό πρόστιμο τριάντα (30) ευρώ» — thirty euro, plus the forty days the Σ classification adds. ⚠️ So as a sign offence this is one of the cheapest breaches in the whole Code, and a reader who knew only that the scheme is signed Ρ-55 would under-estimate the exposure by more than a factor of ten. 🔑 WHAT CLOSES THE GAP IS THE CODE'S OWN DEFINITION OF THAT PLATE. Article 7 defines it in one breath: «ξ) Ρ-55: Οδός υποχρεωτικής διέλευσης πεζών (πεζόδρομος, απαγορευμένης της διέλευσης άλλων εκτός πεζών, οχημάτων άμεσης ανάγκης και οχημάτων για την είσοδο - έξοδο σε παρόδιες ιδιοκτησίες)». A driver who passes a Ρ-55 is by definition on a πεζόδρομος, so article 20 §4 reaches them at €350 whether or not the plate is also charged. This record publishes the larger figure for that reason and prints the smaller one rather than hiding it. Nothing this project holds says which one an officer in Αρεόπολη writes. ⚠️ The exempt classes are not caught by either route. Article 20 §4 itself carves out «περιπτώσεις απολύτου ανάγκης ή όταν ειδικές ρυθμίσεις το επιτρέπουν», and this act's exemption list is exactly such a special regulation. ⚠️ For a visitor in a hire car, the measure against the vehicle's registration documents is a matter between the renter and the rental company that the Code does not address.Source: Εθνικό Τυπογραφείο, read 2026-09-28

How to comply
  • Between 1 March and 31 October, do not drive on the three regulated sections of the old centre after three in the afternoon. They reopen at four in the morning. On Sundays and Greek public holidays they are closed all day. There is no ticket to buy and no permit to hold.
  • 🔑 Look for a large information board rather than a small plate, because the gazette publishes its drawing. Plan Σ6 dimensions it at 2 394 mm by 2 670 mm — «ΕΜΒΑΔΟ: 6.39m²», the better part of two metres square — carrying a pedestrian-area pictogram above the words «ΠΕΡΙΟΔΙΚΗ ΠΕΖΟΔΡΟΜΗΣΗ ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΥΣ ΜΗΝΕΣ 1/3 - 31/10 ΩΡΕΣ: 15:00 4:00» and «ΚΥΡΙΑΚΗ ΚΑΙ ΑΡΓΙΕΣ ΟΛΟ ΤΟ 24ΩΡΟ». If you can read that board you have the whole timetable.
  • 🔑 Bicycles are exempt, and that is unusual enough in this corpus to be worth saying first. The act's exemption list ends «…οχήματα Οργανισμών Κοινής Ωφέλειας (ΔΕΗ-ΟΤΕ), ποδήλατα». It also exempts ΑΜΕΑ vehicles, ambulances, security-forces vehicles, fire appliances, refuse lorries and other municipal vehicles, and «οποιαδήποτε άλλη κίνηση απαιτηθεί για την αντιμετώπιση περίπτωσης έκτακτης ανάγκης».
  • 🚨 The narrow section is not free just because the ban is off. On the Γ section — the 230-metre stretch from the Γούδη café to the municipal car park — the act imposes «ήπια κυκλοφορία», calmed traffic, during the hours when the closure is not running, «λόγω στενότητας». Drive it at walking pace whatever the clock says.
  • 🚨 And one nearby road runs the other way in summer. The part of the road around πλατεία Αθανάτων that is outside the scheme «γίνεται κατά την περίοδο της ρύθμισης δρόμος διπλής κατεύθυνσης» — it becomes two-way for the season. If you learned the town's one-way system out of season, it is not the same system in August.
  • ⚠️ Do not expect a barrier, and do not treat one as the authority. Condition 7 is explicit that the act «δεν εξετάζονται και δεν εγκρίνονται η τοποθέτηση και η χρήση χειροκίνητων πτυσσόμενων μεταλλικών μπαρών ή οποιωνδήποτε άλλων ειδικών τεχνητών εμποδίων, τα οποία δεν αποτελούν μέτρο ρύθμισης της κυκλοφορίας» — folding metal bars and other artificial obstacles were neither examined nor approved, because they are not traffic-regulation measures under the Code. What is approved is signing.
  • ⚠️ Do not navigate by the square's name. «Πλατεία Αθανάτων» is what the act rings, and measured on OpenStreetMap on 2026-09-28 nothing of that name is mapped within 2 km. The street names on the approved plan — «Καπετάν Ματαπά» and «Μαυρομιχάλη» — are on the map, both as stone-sett residential streets, but this record does not tell you which of the act's three sections is which.
  • 🔑 Alternative routes are part of what was approved, not an afterthought. Condition 8 approves access, alternative routes and parking «όπως παρουσιάζονται στο Σχέδιο Σ3 «Οριζοντιογραφία εναλλακτικής διαδρομής»», and that plan is in the gazette at 1:1.000 with the alternatives and the taxi rank and the disabled bay drawn on it.
  • An officer at the junction outranks the sign. Condition 5 applies the measures from the placing of the signs «εκτός αν κατά το χρόνο ισχύος των μέτρων αυτών η κυκλοφορία ρυθμίζεται από στελέχη της αρμόδιας Αστυνομικής Αρχής».
  • Parking is a separate question with a separate rule. Condition 3 requires that «Να εφαρμόζεται ο ν. 2696/1999 (ΚΟΚ) και ειδικότερα το άρθρο 34 που αφορά τη στάση και τη στάθμευση» — the stopping-and-parking article of the Code the act was taken under.
  • 🚨 What it costs to get it wrong is set out under the penalty heading on this page, and the honest summary is that the Code offers two prices for the same act — €350 as driving on a pedestrian street, €30 as disobeying the Ρ-55 plate — and both carry forty days off the road under category Σ. This record publishes the larger.
