In force in Brescello right nowTuesday, 13 October 2026 at 11:04 · Europe/Rome
Lifts Tuesday, 13 October 2026 at 18:30 local time.
🚨 The six suspended dates above are a CLOSED list taken from the order's own words, and the order never calls them days of festivity. The word "festività" does not occur in the eleven pages. That absence proves nothing here, and a neighbouring record says so from the other side: the Coriano order suspends the ban on no day at all, and the Coriano record proved it partly by measuring that both "sospeso" and "festività" are missing from it. Applied here the same test would have concluded there are no suspended days, and there are six. The proof that works is "sospeso" plus the dates.
Strike days are not in this table because they cannot be. The order also lifts the ban "nei giorni di indizione di scioperi che riguardano il Trasporto Pubblico Locale", and those are called by unions with days or weeks of notice. A visitor should treat them as a concession that may apply rather than a date they can plan around.
🚫 Three of the neighbouring records carry a second rule for Sundays; this order has no Sunday measure, no Saturday measure and no emergency measure for traffic. The Sunday absence was measured with the scope the D-324 rule requires: over the operative part of the extracted eleven pages, from the word ORDINA to the signature, a case-insensitive search for "domenic" returns nothing, while a whole-document search returns exactly one hit, the preamble's conditional recital of the regional Move-In rule. A whole-file search here would give the opposite of the right answer.
The emergency measures are not in this timetable because this order makes none for traffic. Arpae issues its bulletin on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, measured across the province of Reggio Emilia, and the order attaches it to slurry spreading and to biomass heating; the vehicle ban above does not change on those days and no wider vehicle list exists in the act.
⚠️ This timetable is a clock and says nothing about where you are. The ban applies inside the centro abitato of Brescello and nowhere else in the municipality, and no plan of that area is published. A vehicle on the banned list can be lawfully moving at every hour in this table, anywhere in the comune outside the town.
The order's other measures are outside this timetable because they are not about driving: the heating-season start of 1 November 2026, the indoor temperature limits of 19 °C and 17 °C, the biomass and open-burning rules, the pellet certification duty and the shop-door closing duty all run on their own periods and across the whole municipality.
Operating times only, read from the source below. It does not check your vehicle.
Brescello, a municipality of 5,552 people in the province of Reggio Emilia, closes its one built-up area to older vehicles for the winter half of the year, from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
The ban runs Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:30, and it catches petrol cars up to and including Euro 2, LPG/petrol and methane/petrol up to and including Euro 2, diesel cars up to and including Euro 4, and mopeds and motorcycles up to and including Euro 2. Nothing is on sale: there is no day ticket, no charge and no payable derogation.
The fine is the national one and the order states it, a range of €168 to €679 under article 7 paragraph 13 bis of the Highway Code, with fifteen to thirty days' licence suspension for a repeat offence within two years. 🔑 This is the smallest municipality in the Emilia-Romagna family of this corpus by a wide margin — Coriano, the next smallest, has 10,455 people — and that size decides the question a visitor is most likely to have got from the headlines.
Italian national law set a structural Euro 5 diesel limitation from 1 October 2026, but it is addressed to comuni above 100,000 inhabitants, so it never reached this town at all. A Euro 5 diesel is legal here at every hour of the season. 🚨 The ban is lifted on six days — 1 November, 8 December, 25 and 26 December, 1 January and 6 January — and on days when local public transport is on strike.
That list is the whole calendar concession: there is no Sunday measure, no Saturday measure, and no emergency measure for traffic.
When Arpae's bulletin calls for emergency action the order bans the spreading of livestock slurry and restricts biomass heating, and leaves the vehicle ban exactly where it is. ⚠️ The word "festività" does not occur anywhere in the eleven pages, and a reader who searched for it would conclude there are no suspended days.
There are six; the order simply writes "sospeso nei seguenti giorni di 1° novembre…" and omits the noun. 🔑 Where the ban applies is one place, not several.
Unlike Coriano, which names eleven built-up areas, or Castellarano, which names eight, this order restricts "l'area del centro abitato di Brescello" and nothing else, and point 7 then delimits it by naming seven central streets: Piazza Matteotti, Via Panizzi, Via Nizzoli, Via Carducci, Via Giglioli, Via Cavallotti and Via De Amicis.
The plan the order calls its Annex 1 and treats as constitutive is not published by either channel that serves this act to the public, so this project holds no boundary and draws none. Electric and hybrid vehicles, cars carrying at least three people, vehicles registered for specific transport or special uses, and vehicles enrolled in the regional Move-In scheme are outside the ban altogether.
Comune di Brescello (RE) — Ordinanza Sindacale n. 6 del 23/09/2026, signed by the Mayor, Carlo Fiumicino, and published by Arpae Emilia-Romagna, the regional agency that collects the implementing ordinances of the municipalities bound by the PAIR 2030
Nothing is charged and nothing is on sale. The order bans the listed classes from circulating and then lists the vehicles and journeys excluded from that ban; there is no day ticket, no registration fee and no payable derogation a visitor could buy.
The one route by which a banned vehicle can be authorised is Move-In, the regional telematics scheme, which fits a black box and allows a monitored annual mileage allowance instead of a flat prohibition, on the terms of Annexes A, B and C to regional decision DGR n.
1493 of 22/09/2025. ⚠️ As in the neighbouring Fidenza, Mirandola and Coriano records, this order does not itself grant Move-In: it excludes from its own ban "veicoli che hanno aderito al sistema Move-In … come disposto dall'ordinanza n. 15/2025" — an earlier act of the same Comune, recited in the preamble as "l'Ordinanza Sindacale n.
15 del 29/9/2025". That earlier ordinance was not opened for this record and is not cited as a source here; what is published is that this order excludes Move-In vehicles from its own ban. 🔑 The reach of that exclusion is simple here for the same reason it is simple in Fidenza, Mirandola and Coriano: there is only one ban for it to reach.
Piacenza's order has to say expressly that Move-In does not survive its ecological Sundays and its emergency measures, and Maranello's has to name the three points it is excused from; this order has neither Sundays nor an emergency traffic measure.
Move-In is in any case a scheme for vehicles registered in the participating Italian regions rather than something a foreign visitor can buy on arrival, and neither the order nor the regional decision states a price in the documents read here, so none is given.
Seasonal, and the season had not yet begun when this was read.
The ban runs from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:30 — point 1, "nel periodo 01/10/2026 – 31/03/2027, dal lunedì al venerdì, dalle 8.30 alle 18.30, il divieto di circolazione nell'area del centro abitato di Brescello". 🚨 Six days lift it, and they are named in the act: "Il divieto alla circolazione di cui al presente punto è sospeso nei seguenti giorni di 1° novembre, 8 dicembre, 25 e 26 dicembre, 1° gennaio, 6 gennaio e nei giorni di indizione di scioperi che riguardano il Trasporto Pubblico Locale".
That is a closed list of six dates plus an open class of days — local public transport strike days, which are called by unions and are not on any calendar this project can read in advance. ⚠️ The word "festività" does not occur anywhere in the eleven pages, and that matters because it is how the neighbouring Coriano record proved its own order suspends the ban on NO day.
The same test here would give the opposite of the truth: this order suspends on six days and simply omits the noun from the sentence. The proof that works is "sospeso" plus the date list. 🚫 There is no Sunday measure.
The stem "domenic" occurs exactly once in the whole document, in the preamble, where the order recites that a Move-In vehicle may not drive "in occasione delle domeniche ecologiche, ove adottate con specifica ordinanza" — a conditional about the regional scheme, not an adoption. Over the operative part, from the word ORDINA to the Mayor's signature, it occurs not at all.
Do not read Modena's, Maranello's or Piacenza's Sundays onto this town. There is no Saturday measure. 🔑 And there is no emergency window: Arpae's bulletin is issued on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and measured "nell'ambito territoriale della Provincia di Reggio Emilia", and when it calls for action this order bans the spreading of livestock slurry (point 6.1) and restricts biomass heating (point 6.2).
It attaches no traffic measure to it at all, so the clock above does not move when the air is bad and the vehicle list does not widen. ⚠️ Do not read the 08:00–19:00 emergency window of the Modena, Piacenza and Maranello records onto this town.
Comune di Brescello (RE) — Ordinanza Sindacale n. 6 del 23/09/2026, point 1 for the season, the window and the six suspended days, point 6 for the measures the emergency bulletin does trigger and for the days on which it is issued
One built-up area, and that is the first thing to know about it. Point 1 bans circulation "nell'area del centro abitato di Brescello, come da planimetria costituente l'allegato n.
1", and names nothing else — no frazione, no second settlement, no separate patch. 🔑 That makes it the simplest area in the Emilia-Romagna family of this corpus and the counterpart to its most dispersed: Coriano names eleven built-up areas, Castellarano eight, Quattro Castella four, Maranello one whose plan turned out to draw eight separate patches.
Here there is one town and the ban is inside it. ⚠️ Point 7 then delimits that area: "l'area del centro abitato del Comune di Brescello in cui si applica il divieto di circolazione di cui al punto 1, della presente Ordinanza è individuata nella planimetria costituente l'allegato n.
1 ed è delimitata come segue", followed by seven streets — Piazza Matteotti, Via Panizzi, Via Nizzoli, Via Carducci, Via Giglioli, Via Cavallotti and Via De Amicis. 🚫 Seven street names are not a boundary this project can draw. The order says the area is identified by the plan and delimited as follows, and the plan is what would settle whether those seven streets bound the area or lie inside it.
That plan is not published: the Arpae page carries one file and it is the act, and the act's only embedded image is a 246 by 282 pixel object that could not be opened.
Tracing a line off seven street names and serving it as the thing that decides whether a visitor's older car is committing an offence would be this project's invention, not the publisher's rule. 🔑 What is certain on the ground is the signage: a centro abitato in Italy is bounded by the begin-and-end signs of article 3 of the Highway Code at every approach road, and this order's own third point onwards applies "in tutto il territorio comunale" for the heating and burning measures, which is the wider area and not this one. 🚫 Nothing is carved out and no road is left open.
Unlike Modena, which excludes twenty-six routes to park-and-ride car parks, Fidenza, which excludes two, and Quattro Castella, which leaves four through-routes open including the SS 63, this order names no exception of that kind at all.
Comune di Brescello (RE) — Ordinanza Sindacale n. 6 del 23/09/2026, point 1 for the single built-up area and the reference to Annex 1, point 7 for the seven-street delimitation
Petrol cars of Euro 0, Euro 1 and Euro 2 are banned — "veicoli alimentati a benzina EURO 0, EURO 1 ed EURO 2, non conformi alla direttiva 98/69/A CE e successive o alla direttiva 99/96/A CE e successive" — so a petrol car needs to be Euro 3 or better. Bi-fuel vehicles running on LPG/petrol or methane/petrol are treated identically and banned up to and including Euro 2.
Mopeds are banned up to and including Euro 2 where they do not comply with Directive 2013/60/EC or later, and motorcycles up to and including Euro 2 where they do not comply with Directive 2003/77/EC or later. 🔑 As in Fidenza, Mirandola, Quattro Castella and Coriano, there is nothing for these four lines to hold steady against: the order has one vehicle list and one window, so Euro 2 is the line at every hour of the season for all four.
In Modena, Piacenza and Maranello the same four lines are described as staying put while the diesel line moves on Sundays and emergency days; here no such day exists.
Comune di Brescello (RE) — Ordinanza Sindacale n. 6 del 23/09/2026, point 1, the first, second, fourth and fifth indents of the vehicle list
Diesel cars are banned up to and including Euro 4 — point 1, "veicoli diesel EURO 0, EURO 1, EURO 2, EURO 3 ed EURO 4 non conformi alla direttiva 2005/55/CE B2 e successive o alla direttiva 99/96 fase III oppure Riga B2 o C e successive" — so a diesel needs to be Euro 5 or better, and that answer holds for every hour the scheme is in force. 🚨 A reader who has seen the Modena, Piacenza or Maranello records should note that the Euro 5 extension in them is absent here.
Those orders reach Euro 5 diesel on ecological Sundays or on emergency days by cross-referring their emergency article; this order has neither, so Euro 5 is never caught. ⚠️ And a reader who has seen that Italian national law set a structural Euro 5 diesel limitation from 1 October 2026 should note that it does not reach Brescello — for the same reason it does not reach Fidenza, Mirandola or Coriano, and NOT for the reason the Piacenza record gives.
The two look interchangeable and are not. Piacenza is above the 100,000 threshold and escaped the limitation only because the Region substituted compensating measures by DGR n. 1505 of 07/09/2026.
Brescello never entered the scope at all: the duty in Legge n. 105 of 18 July 2025, as enacted for this region by L.R. n.
9 of 28/07/2026 article 15 paragraph 1, is addressed to comuni with more than 100,000 inhabitants and to those with an adequate local public transport service, and this order records on its own face that "la popolazione residente nel Comune di Brescello alla data del 1.1.2026 è pari a 5.552 abitanti".
That is the smallest population of the eight orders of this family in this corpus, and it is below the threshold by a factor of eighteen. 🔑 The order is nonetheless bound to the plan in full, and says why: "il Comune di Brescello è ubicato nella zona Pianura Ovest quale ambito territoriale interessato dalla sentenza della Corte di Giustizia dell'Unione Europea del 10/11/2020" — the PM10 infringement zone, the same one Castellarano sits in, where Coriano sits in Pianura Est.
Size decides which national duties reach the town; the air-quality zone decides that the regional plan does.

Comune di Brescello (RE) — Ordinanza Sindacale n. 6 del 23/09/2026, the sanctions article and its letters a) to d), and the closing article naming the enforcing bodies
Comune di Brescello (RE) — Ordinanza Sindacale n. 6 del 23/09/2026, points 1 to 9 read together: point 1 for the ban, the window and the suspended days, points 2 to 5 for the heating, burning and shop-door measures, point 6 for the emergency measures, point 7 for the delimitation, points 8 and 9 for the exemptions, and the sanctions article for the fine
Comune di Brescello (RE) — Ordinanza Sindacale n. 6 del 23/09/2026, "ATTUAZIONE DELLE MISURE IN MATERIA DI QUALITÀ DELL'ARIA (L.R. 16/2017; D.A.L. 152/2024; L.R. 9/226; D.G.R. 1505/2026) IN RELAZIONE AL PAIR 2030", eleven pages, signed digitally by the Mayor, Carlo Fiumicino, on 23/09/2026 and published by Arpae Emilia-Romagna. This is the operative instrument: it fixes the season, the single weekday window, the banned classes, the six suspended days, the one built-up area and its seven-street delimitation, the exemptions and the penalties. ⚠️ The subject line's "L.R. 9/226" is the publisher's own typing error for L.R. n. 9 of 28/07/2026, which the preamble cites correctly; it is quoted as published and not repaired
Arpae Emilia-Romagna — "Ordinanza del Comune di Brescello (RE)", the page in the regional agency's index from which this order is served. Cited as the durable address of the act: the PDF's own filename is generic and a re-upload could change it, and this page is where the agency states the ordinance number
Arpae Emilia-Romagna — "Ordinanze comuni pianura", the index of implementing ordinances for the plain municipalities under 30,000 inhabitants. Cited for where this record sits: on 2026-09-28 the index carried six municipalities — Brescello (RE), Castellarano (RE), Coriano (RN), Fidenza (PR), Mirandola (MO) and Quattro Castella (RE) — every one of them a 2026 ordinance, and with this record all six have been read
Comune di Brescello (RE) — the municipal albo pretorio, where the act was posted as publication no. 420 on 23/09/2026, due to come down on 08/10/2026. Cited as the proof that the Comune published the act itself and as the only municipal channel on which it appears: the Comune's website carries Ordinanza Sindacale n.3/2026 and n.4/2026 as news items and answers HTTP 410 for n.6/2026
This rule ends on 2027-03-31, by the dates in the order itself. We do not re-check it after that — the page comes out of our index, and only a new order from the authority can put a rule for this road back on it.
