In force in Coriano right nowTuesday, 13 October 2026 at 11:04 · Europe/Rome
Lifts Tuesday, 13 October 2026 at 18:30 local time.
🚨 There is exactly one rule here and it has exactly one exception, and both of those are findings rather than omissions. Five of the six neighbouring Emilia-Romagna orders for the same season under the same regional plan name days of festivity on which the ban lifts, and the sixth names an open-ended example list; this order names no day at all. The words "sospeso" and "festività" do not occur in it, and it names no calendar day on which the ban lifts. A later cycle adding a Christmas or New Year exception from a neighbour would tell a driver their banned car is allowed on a day this order bans it — 25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027 are both Fridays.
🚨 Three of the neighbouring records carry a second rule for Sundays; this order has no Sunday measure, no Saturday measure and no emergency measure for traffic. The absence was measured, but NOT the way the Fidenza record measures its own. There the stem "domenic" is absent from the whole document and returns [MISS] against the live file. Here it returns [OK], because the preamble recites the regional Move-In rule about ecological Sundays "ove adottate con specifica ordinanza". The valid measurement is scoped to the operative part: a case-insensitive search for "domenic" over the ORDINA section of the extracted twelve pages returns nothing, and the single whole-document hit is that conditional preamble sentence. A whole-file search here would give the opposite of the right answer.
The emergency measures are not in this timetable because this order makes none for traffic. Arpae issues its bulletin on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, measured across the province of Rimini, and the order attaches it to biomass heating and to slurry spreading; the vehicle ban above does not change on those days and no wider vehicle list exists in the act.
⚠️ This timetable is a clock and says nothing about where you are, and here that warning carries more than usual. The ban applies in eleven separate built-up areas, nine of which the order bounds by naming roads and two of which — Puglie and Colombarina — it never bounds at all. No plan is published. A vehicle on the banned list can be lawfully moving at every hour in this table, anywhere in the municipality outside those areas.
The order's other measures are outside this timetable because they are not about driving: the heating-season start of 1 November 2026, the indoor temperature limits of 19 °C and 17 °C, the biomass and open-burning rules, the pellet certification duty and the shop-door closing duty all run on their own periods and across the whole municipality.
Operating times only, read from the source below. It does not check your vehicle.
Coriano, a municipality of 10,455 people in the province of Rimini, closes its built-up areas to older vehicles for the winter half of the year, from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
The ban runs Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:30, and it catches petrol cars up to and including Euro 2, LPG/petrol and methane/petrol up to and including Euro 2, diesel cars up to and including Euro 4, and mopeds and motorcycles up to and including Euro 2. Nothing is on sale: there is no day ticket, no charge and no payable derogation.
The fine is the national one and the order states it, a range of €168 to €679 under article 7 paragraph 13-bis of the Highway Code, with fifteen to thirty days' licence suspension for a repeat offence within two years. 🚨 Two things separate this order from every other one of this season in this corpus, and both are absences a visitor would otherwise fill in wrongly. The first: it suspends the ban on NO day at all.
Its five neighbours name a list of days of festivity on which the ban lifts — eight in Modena, seven in Piacenza and Fidenza, six in Maranello, five in Mirandola, an open-ended example list in Quattro Castella — and this order names none. The words "sospeso" and "festività" do not occur in it. Christmas Day 2026 and 1 January 2027 both fall on a Friday, and this order bans on both.
The second: there is no Sunday measure either, which it shares with Fidenza, Mirandola and Quattro Castella, and it reaches that result the way the last two do rather than the way Fidenza does.
The word "domenica" IS in this document, once, in the preamble, where the order recites that a vehicle enrolled in the regional Move-In scheme may not drive "in occasione delle domeniche ecologiche, ove adottate con specifica ordinanza" — where adopted by a specific ordinance. This one adopts none.
A reader who searched the whole file for the stem would get a hit and conclude the opposite of the truth. 🔑 Nor does the ban widen when the air is bad: the order attaches Arpae's emergency bulletin, issued for the province of Rimini on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, to a ban on spreading livestock slurry and a restriction on biomass heating, and orders no emergency measure for traffic at all.
A Euro 5 diesel is outside this scheme at every hour of the season. ⚠️ Where the ban applies is the part of this order a visitor should read twice. It is not one town: point 1 names the centro abitato of Coriano and ten separate frazioni, from Cerasolo Ausa on the SS 72 to Sant'Andrea in Besanigo, and point 7 then delimits nine of those eleven by naming the roads that bound them.
Puglie and Colombarina are banned and never delimited, and the drawing that would settle it — the planimetry the order calls its Annex 1 — is published by neither of the act's two publishers. Electric and hybrid vehicles, cars carrying at least three people, vehicles registered for specific transport or special uses, and vehicles enrolled in Move-In are outside the ban altogether.
Comune di Coriano (RN) — Ordinanza del Sindaco n. 21/2026 del 22/09/2026, signed by the Mayor, Gianluca Ugolini, and published by Arpae Emilia-Romagna, the regional agency that collects the implementing ordinances of the municipalities bound by the PAIR 2030
Nothing is charged and nothing is on sale. The order bans the listed classes from circulating and then lists the vehicles and journeys excluded from that ban; there is no day ticket, no registration fee and no payable derogation a visitor could buy.
The one route by which a banned vehicle can be authorised is Move-In, the regional telematics scheme, which fits a black box and allows a monitored annual mileage allowance instead of a flat prohibition, on the terms of Annexes A, B and C to regional decision DGR n.
1493 of 22/09/2025. ⚠️ As in the neighbouring Fidenza and Mirandola records, this order does not itself grant Move-In: it excludes from its own ban "veicoli che hanno aderito al sistema Move-In … come disposto dall'ordinanza n. 21 del 25/09/2025" — an earlier act of the same Comune, which happens to carry the same ordinance number as this one a year on.
That earlier ordinance was not opened for this record and is not cited as a source here; what is published is that this order excludes Move-In vehicles from its own ban. 🔑 The reach of that exclusion is simple here for the same reason it is simple in Fidenza and Mirandola — there is only one ban for it to reach.
Piacenza's order has to say expressly that Move-In does not survive its ecological Sundays and its emergency measures, and Maranello's has to name the three points it is excused from; this order has neither Sundays nor an emergency traffic measure, so Move-In is outside the single prohibition there is.
Move-In is in any case a scheme for vehicles registered in the participating Italian regions rather than something a foreign visitor can buy on arrival, and neither the order nor the regional decision states a price in the documents read here, so none is given.
Seasonal, and the season had not yet begun when this was read. The ban runs from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:30 — point 1, "nel periodo 01/10/2026 – 31/03/2027, dal lunedì al venerdì, dalle 8.30 alle 18.30, il divieto di circolazione". 🚨 That is the whole timetable, and this order empties it further than any of its five neighbours.
There is no suspended day: the words "sospeso" and "festività" do not occur in the act, and no date is named anywhere in it. Modena lifts its ban on eight days, Piacenza on seven, Fidenza on seven, Maranello on six, Mirandola on five, and Quattro Castella on an expressly open-ended list; this order lifts it on none.
25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027 are both Fridays, and both are banned days here. 🚫 Do not import a neighbour's list of days of festivity: every one of them would tell a driver their banned car is allowed on a day this order still bans it. ⚠️ There is no Sunday measure either, and this one has to be measured carefully rather than grepped.
The word IS in this document, once, in the preamble, where the order recites that a Move-In vehicle may not drive "in occasione delle domeniche ecologiche, ove adottate con specifica ordinanza" — a conditional about the regional scheme, not an adoption. The operative part, from the word ORDINA to the Mayor's signature, never uses it. There is no Saturday measure.
And there is no emergency window: Arpae's bulletin, issued on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and measured "nell'ambito territoriale della Provincia di Rimini", triggers this order's ban on spreading livestock slurry and its biomass heating restriction, but the order attaches no traffic measure to it, so the clock above does not move when the air is bad and the vehicle list does not widen. ⚠️ Do not read the 08:00–19:00 emergency window of the Modena, Piacenza and Maranello records onto this city. ⚠️ Nor does this order suspend the ban on local public transport strike days: "sciopero" does not occur in it, as it does not in Mirandola's or Quattro Castella's.
Comune di Coriano (RN) — Ordinanza del Sindaco n. 21/2026 del 22/09/2026, point 1 for the season and the window, point 6 for the measures the emergency bulletin does trigger and for the days on which it is issued
Eleven separate built-up areas, not one town. 🔑 That makes this the most dispersed area in the Emilia-Romagna family of this corpus.
Maranello's single "centro abitato" turned out on its plan to be eight separate patches, and Quattro Castella names four; this order names eleven in its own words, so a driver on a banned vehicle can leave one restricted area and enter another on the same journey. ⚠️ Point 7 then delimits the area "come segue" by naming the roads that bound each settlement: Coriano by the S.P.
31 Flaminia Conca, the SP 50 at its junction with via Giardino and via Ca Cianci; Cerasolo Ausa by the S.S. 72 from km 6.015 to km 8.328; Cerasolo by via Monte Pirolo, via Primo Maggio and via La Pastora; Mulazzano by via Il Monte and via Europa; Ospedaletto by the S.P. 41 Rimini-Montescudo, via Mulazzano and via Cerasolo; Pian della Pieve and Cavallino by the S.P.
41 Rimini–Montescudo; Passano by the S.P. 31 Flaminia Conca and via Stacciarino; and Sant'Andrea in Besanigo by via Il Balcone, via Rio Melo, via Colombarina at its junction with via Rio Melo, and the S.P. 50. 🚨 That is nine settlements, and point 1 banned eleven.
Puglie and Colombarina are prohibited in point 1 and delimited nowhere: "Puglie" occurs exactly once in the whole twelve-page act, in the prohibition itself, and "Colombarina" twice, once in the prohibition and once as the street name via Colombarina inside Sant'Andrea in Besanigo's line.
This project does not know where the restricted areas of those two localities begin, and does not guess. 🚫 Nothing is carved out and no road is opened through the area.
Unlike Modena, which excludes twenty-six routes to park-and-ride car parks, and Fidenza, which excludes two, and Quattro Castella, which leaves four through-routes open including the SS 63, this order names no exception of that kind at all — which also means the S.S. 72 stretch above is named as a boundary of Cerasolo Ausa, not as a road left open across it.
Comune di Coriano (RN) — Ordinanza del Sindaco n. 21/2026 del 22/09/2026, point 1 for the eleven settlements and the reference to Annex 1, point 7 for the road-by-road delimitation of nine of them
Petrol cars of Euro 0, Euro 1 and Euro 2 are banned — "veicoli alimentati a benzina EURO 0, EURO 1 ed EURO 2, non conformi alla direttiva 98/69/A CE e successive o alla direttiva 99/96/A CE e successive" — so a petrol car needs to be Euro 3 or better. Bi-fuel vehicles running on LPG/petrol or methane/petrol are treated identically and banned up to and including Euro 2.
Mopeds are banned up to and including Euro 2 where they do not comply with Directive 2013/60/EC or later, and motorcycles up to and including Euro 2 where they do not comply with Directive 2003/77/EC or later. 🔑 As in Fidenza, Mirandola and Quattro Castella, there is nothing for these four lines to hold steady against: the order has one vehicle list and one window, so Euro 2 is the line at every hour of the season for all four.
In Modena, Piacenza and Maranello the same four lines are described as staying put while the diesel line moves on Sundays and emergency days; here no such day exists.
Comune di Coriano (RN) — Ordinanza del Sindaco n. 21/2026 del 22/09/2026, point 1 letters r), s), u) and v)
Diesel cars are banned up to and including Euro 4 — point 1 letter t), "veicoli diesel EURO 0, EURO 1, EURO 2, EURO 3 ed EURO 4 non conformi alla direttiva 2005/55/CE B2 e successive o alla direttiva 99/96 fase III oppure Riga B2 o C e successive" — so a diesel needs to be Euro 5 or better, and that answer holds for every hour the scheme is in force. 🚨 A reader who has seen the Modena, Piacenza or Maranello records should note that the Euro 5 extension in them is absent here.
Those orders reach Euro 5 diesel on ecological Sundays or on emergency days by cross-referring their emergency article; this order has neither, so Euro 5 is never caught. ⚠️ And a reader who has seen that Italian national law set a structural Euro 5 diesel limitation from 1 October 2026 should note that it does not reach Coriano — for the same reason it does not reach Fidenza or Mirandola, and NOT for the reason the Piacenza record gives.
The two look interchangeable and are not. Piacenza is above the 100,000 threshold and escaped the limitation only because the Region substituted compensating measures by DGR n. 1505 of 07/09/2026.
Coriano never entered the scope at all: the duty in Legge n. 105 of 18 July 2025, as enacted for this region by L.R. n.
9 of 28/07/2026 article 15 paragraph 1, is addressed to comuni with more than 100,000 inhabitants, and this order records on its own face that "la popolazione residente nel Comune di Coriano alla data del 24/09/2025 è pari a 10455 abitanti". That is the smallest population of the six orders of this family in this corpus, an order of magnitude below the threshold. The regional opt-out by DGR n.
1505 is recited in this preamble too, and the order is explicit that what it did was identify compensating measures "nei Comuni con popolazione superiore a 100.000 abitanti dell'Emilia-Romagna" — a set this comune is not in.
The compensating measures this order does implement are about heating rather than driving: the civil heating season starting on 1 November 2026, and a biomass restriction on emergency days. ⚠️ One geographical note that a reader of the other five records will not expect: although Coriano is in the province of Rimini, in Romagna rather than in Emilia, the order records that "il Comune di Coriano è ubicato nella zona Pianura Est" — the same air-quality zone as the plain municipalities to the north-west — and is therefore bound by the same PAIR 2030 measures.

Comune di Coriano (RN) — Ordinanza del Sindaco n. 21/2026 del 22/09/2026: point 1 for the ban, the window, the settlements and the vehicle classes, point 6 for what the emergency bulletin does trigger, point 7 for the delimitation, point 8 for the exempt vehicles, point 9 for the further national and regional derogations, and the sanctions article for the penalties
Comune di Coriano (RN) — Ordinanza del Sindaco n. 21/2026 del 22/09/2026, "PROVVEDIMENTI E MISURE DI PREVENZIONE PER LA SALVAGUARDIA DELLA QUALITA' DELL'ARIA NEL TERRITORIO DEL COMUNE DI CORIANO ANNO 2026", signed by the Mayor, Gianluca Ugolini, and published by Arpae Emilia-Romagna. This is the operative instrument: it fixes the season, the single weekday window, the banned classes, the eleven built-up areas and the road delimitation of nine of them, the exemptions and the penalties. ⚠️ This is the copy Arpae serves, stamped on every page with the Comune's protocol line; the unstamped original from the Comune's own site is the next source below, and the two differ in nothing else
Comune di Coriano (RN) — the same Ordinanza del Sindaco n. 21/2026 as published by the Comune itself, from the attachment to its own news item of 25 September 2026. 🔑 This is the first record in this family with a second, independent official publisher of the operative act, and it is not redundancy for its own sake: the two files carry byte-identical page content streams and differ only in the twelve protocol-stamp overlays Arpae's copy adds, 173,692 bytes against 163,317, twelve extracted lines against none. If Arpae ever rotates its file this copy still answers, and vice versa
Comune di Coriano (RN) — "Provvedimenti e misure di prevenzione per la salvaguardia della qualità dell'aria nel territorio del Comune di Coriano anno 2026", the news item of 25 September 2026 on the Comune's own site that publishes the ordinance. Cited as the page the second copy hangs from, so that a later cycle can find the file again if its upload path changes
Arpae Emilia-Romagna — "Ordinanza del Comune di Coriano (RN)", the page in the regional agency's index where this order is published. ⚠️ Note which index this is: not the one carrying Modena, Piacenza and Maranello, but the separate list of ordinances of the plain municipalities UNDER 30,000 inhabitants, which is reached from "Limitazioni comuni di pianura sotto i 30.000 abitanti" and was not known to this corpus before 2026-09-28
Arpae Emilia-Romagna — "Ordinanze comuni pianura", the index of implementing ordinances for the plain municipalities under 30,000 inhabitants. Cited for where this record sits: on 2026-09-28 the index carried six municipalities — Brescello (RE), Castellarano (RE), Coriano (RN), Fidenza (PR), Mirandola (MO) and Quattro Castella (RE) — every one of them a 2026 ordinance, and Fidenza, Mirandola, Quattro Castella and Coriano are the four of the six read so far. Brescello and Castellarano are still unread
This rule ends on 2027-03-31, by the dates in the order itself. We do not re-check it after that — the page comes out of our index, and only a new order from the authority can put a rule for this road back on it.
