Antwerp, Belgium · Low emission zone
In force in Antwerp right nowTuesday, 13 October 2026 at 11:03 · Europe/Brussels
This is the operating time only. Whether your own vehicle may enter depends on its emission class and on the exemptions and day passes described on the zone's page.
Operating times only, read from the source below. It does not check your vehicle.
Antwerp's inner city and Linkeroever are a low emission zone, in force 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Compliant vehicles pay nothing, but a foreign-registered vehicle has to be registered once, free of charge, before it is allowed in — vehicles registered in the Netherlands are the exception and need no registration.
Flanders scrapped the tightening that had been planned for 2026, so Euro 5 diesel and Euro 2 petrol are still admitted.
Stad Antwerpen (Slim naar Antwerpen)
Antwerp's LEZ is not a charging scheme: a compliant vehicle enters free. A vehicle below the standard can buy a LEZ day pass instead (maximum 12 per year), which is recorded under how_to_comply rather than as a charge every driver pays.
Seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Petrol, natural gas and LPG vehicles (including hybrids) from Euro 2 upwards are admitted automatically. Euro 1 and older need a LEZ day pass. Euro 2 petrol remains admitted after 31 December 2025 because the Flemish Government scrapped the planned tightening on 28 November 2025.

Diesel vehicles (including hybrids) with Euro 5 or Euro 6 are admitted automatically. Euro 4 and older need a LEZ day pass. Euro 5 diesel remains admitted after 31 December 2025 because the Flemish Government scrapped the planned tightening on 28 November 2025.

Vlaamse overheid (vlaanderen.be)
Stad Antwerpen (Slim naar Antwerpen, the site's own content endpoint). Measured 2026-09-19: the three slimnaarantwerpen.be page urls below are an Angular single-page application, and each one is served as the SAME 7 060-byte shell — byte-identical to one another, carrying nothing but the app's boilerplate and the title 'Slim naar Antwerpen'. A watched string on any of them would be a string in the shell, and would hold unchanged even if the city deleted the LEZ page. This url is where the app reads those pages from; with populate=true it returns the /nl/lez page AND its children, so the zone extent, the fine schedule and the euronorm table all arrive in one response. That is the city's own text, not our reconstruction of it (D-194)
Stad Antwerpen (Slim naar Antwerpen). This is the page a reader should open, and it is deliberately unwatched: the server sends a single-page-application shell and the text is assembled in the browser, so there is no sentence here for a monitor to hold. The same text is watched at the content endpoint above
Stad Antwerpen (Slim naar Antwerpen). Unwatched for the same reason: the same app shell, byte-for-byte. The euronorm table it renders is watched at the content endpoint above
Stad Antwerpen (Slim naar Antwerpen). Unwatched for the same reason: the same app shell, byte-for-byte. The €150/€250/€350 fine schedule it renders is watched at the content endpoint above
Next scheduled re-check: 2026-12-01.
