The Hague has one driving restriction on our books: the Milieuzone The Hague (low emission zone). What is a low emission zone?

What it means for your car

Petrol or LPG. No restriction. Petrol and LPG cars and vans, and electric ones, may enter every Dutch milieuzone whatever their age.
Diesel. Diesel cars need emission class 4 or higher. Classes 0, 1, 2 and 3 are not allowed in. This is the "green" milieuzone standard, which is one step less strict than the blue zones in Amsterdam, Arnhem and Utrecht.
